Tour details: Catching the suburban train at Batthyány Square in 50 minutes we arrive to Szentendre. We have a guided walk in the historical center and enter 2 museums or galleries depending on your interest. Then we have a short free-time to grab a tipical Hungarian meal or walk along the market and take the suburban train back to Budapest.

Extended trip: Extend your visit in Szentendre! After a visit in the old town center, enjoy the rural feeling of the neighbouring Open-air Museum of Ethnography in the afternoon. It offers a general sight of Hungarian folk traditions and rural life, culinary treats with tasting, folk art activities, and a relaxing atmosphere of the countryside. Special festival days: Grape Picking Feast on 4-5 September.

TOUR 2: GÖDÖLLÕ - the Queen's palace
Visit the charming town of Gödöllõ and the biggest Baroque palace of Hungary. Discover the favourite places of Queen Sissi in the palace and the park.

Tour details: We take the suburban train at Örs Vezér Square and after 40 minutes we arrive to Gödöllõ. Strolling through the park, we reach the magnificent palace, which served as the holiday resort of emperor Francis Joseph and Sissi. We visit the suits of the King and Queen in the castle and then enter the only permanent baroque theatre of the country. After the guided tour you can have a "Sissi" coffee at the castle buffet or you can even dress up like the Royals and have a photo taken as a memory. After a short walk in Gödöllõ we catch the suburban train back to Budapest.

Tour details: We take the IC train to Pécs, a city 200 km south of Budapest (on the ruins of the ancient Roman town Sopianae), which lies at the foot of Mecsek Hill, a lovely wine region near the border of Croatia. During a guided walk in the city we enter the Early Christian burial chambers, UNESCO World Heritage site from the 4th century, explore the rich Ottoman-Turkish heritage of the town, visit the magnificent cathedral and the museum of the famous Zsolnay Porcelain. You can even place your lock at the Locks of Lovers. In the free-time you can have a traditional Hungarian lunch and in the evening enjoy the atmosphere of the actual street festivals in the Cultural Capital of Europe, before we take the last train back to Budapest.
